-Where in the world have you read? We would like students to answer this question by bringing in a picture of themselves reading...anywhere and everywhere. A bulletin board display will be made with these pictures for the Fine Arts Fair on April 24.
-April is National Poetry Month. It was established in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets as a celebration of poetry and to encourage the reading and writing of poetry. April is also the month of National Library Week and this year is the week of April 13. National Library Week has been observed since 1958. It is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and is a celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians as well as a time to promote library use and support. Remember to visit your local library during this week!
