Come visit us!

  • The LRC is open from 7:35 am - 2:30 pm every day school is in session.
  • Students can come to the LRC during study hall as well as before and after school. Also, Literature classes come to the LRC on a weekly basis.
  • Students can check out up to three items for two weeks. A fine of $.05/school day is charged for any overdue item.
  • Students can renew books and place holds on items currently checked out.
  • Additionally, students and staff can request books from other libraries.

Resources Available

  • The LRC collection consists of nonfiction and fiction books, audiobooks, periodicals, software, audiovisual materials, and professional literature.
  • Currently, there are over 12,000 items in the collection.
  • The LRC Computer Lab is made up of 30 eMacs. All computers have Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Internet access, iTunes, iMovie, and other software programs.

Reading Program

  • All students are welcome to participate in the Rebecca Caudill Reading Program.
  • All students who read and report on three of the nominated books will receive an invitation to the 2008 Rebecca Caudill Voting Party to be held in February.

Book Clubs

  • The Student Book Club meets in the LRC at least one Friday a month during 9th period study hall.
  • Members of the Student Book Club have already read and discussed four 2008 Rebecca Caudill Nominees (The Old Willis Place: A Ghost Story, Adam Canfield of the Slash, Listening for Lions, and The Schwa Was Here)
