Welcome to Minooka Junior High School and Little Indians Learning Center.  We are located at 333 West McEvilly Road in Minooka.  For the 2007-2008 school year, we will be servicing the educational needs of nearly 800 7th and 8th grade students, as well as almost 200 pre-school aged students.

Our school is one of five schools in Minooka Community Consolidated School District #201.  We employ 60+ certified staff members to meet the needs of the students we service.  School office hours are 7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Students receive a well rounded education in a learning environment that promotes excellence in student learning, behavior, and character.  In addition to the core subject offerings of language arts, mathematics, reading, science, and social studies, students receive instruction in art, music, computer science, technology laboratory, Spanish, reading, and physical education.  Additional student services are available in the areas of special education, reading support, social work, and gifted education.

In addition to our curricular offerings, students are able to tryout for a variety of competitive activities, both academic and athletic, as well as other intramural type clubs that are open to all junior high school students.  For more information regarding student activities, be sure to visit the “For Students” link on the main page.

Finally, please be sure to contact us by telephone or electronic mail with any questions or feedback you might have regarding our school.

Sincerely,

DJ Skogsberg, Principal
