Audrey was born in 1931 into a Middle-Class
Family.
She went to a Music and Art High School in New
York City.
During the early 50's she studied at Cooper
Union. Flack felt that she identified with Abstract Expressionism
and as a result she felt she had to act like "one of the boys."
Flack felt that she was treated unfairly as an artist because she
was a woman.
Audrey Flack is best known for her
"Photorealism", although she also has artwork in the media of Abstract
Expressionism, Self-Portraits, and Sculptures.
Currently, Audrey lives in New York City with her
husband and two daughters, Hannah and Melissa.
At the moment, she is currently working in the
Sculpture Media.
