What is Parent University?
Parent U has small breakout sessions in order to provide guidance on various topics. Sessions focus on child development, effective parenting skills, and financial issues. Parent University provides opportunities for parents to build their own skills and enjoy learning new things. The classes are presented by local educators, law enforcement, and other community leaders.
All parents and community members are invited to attend.
Research indicates that when schools work together with families and the community to support learning, children tend to succeed more in school and also throughout life.
