Developing Accessible Course Content for All

In this session, we will dip our toes into Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and learn about ways to ensure all students can access and utilize course materials. These best practices include simple suggestions like the use of specific fonts and colors to reduce cognitive load as well as slightly less obvious ones – like ensuring video and audio content is accompanied by a transcript or that images include alt texts that can be read by screen reading software.
