2023-2024 Returning Student Registration

We are excited to announce the Online Returning Student Registration for the upcoming school year! In order to qualify for the 2023-2024 early bird registration fee for returning Kindergarten - 8th grade students, it is required that your proofs and registration forms be completed and turned in by May 15, 2023. However you do not need to pay right away.

How do I get started with Online Student Registration on a computer?

  1. Log into PowerSchool account at https://min201.powerschool.com/public
  2. Click on Returning Student Registration.

  3. If the parents have already completed the returning student form for the student, swap to another student.
  4. Confirm that the parent is at least 13 years of age by checking the checkbox.
  5. Click the green “Begin Form” button.
  6. Verify the student’s date of birth.

It is important to note that this form can only be completed in a web browser either on your phone, tablet or computer, not the smartphone PowerSchool app.

The form only needs to be filled out once per student by a parent or guardian.

How do I access the form on a phone?

  1. Log into your Parent PowerSchool account by going to https://min201.powerschool.com/public

  2. You many need to expand the sidebar by clicking on the triangle.

  3. Click on Returning Student Registration.

What if I have more than one student at Minooka CCSD 201? Do I need to fill this in for each student?

Yes, because you’ll need to provide information that is specific for each child. We recommend that you submit one Returning Student Registration form for one student, close the browser tab. Switch to the next student and then click the returning student link off the navigation bar.

  1. Log into your PowerSchool account.
  2. Across the blue bar top select the student name.  The screen should refresh and show "Grades and Attendance: [new student's name]"
  3. From there, complete registration as normal, by clicking on Returning Student Registration in the side left bar.

I can’t finish this in a single sitting. Can I come back and finish it another time?

Yes, the form will save your progress. You’ll just want to resume on the same device that you started the form on.

  1. Log into PowerSchool's portal at: https://min201.powerschool.com/public
  2. Click on the Returning Student Registration button. (You may need to expand the sidebar to see this button on the left hand side)
  3. You might need to click ‘dashboard’ to resume a previously started form.

I don’t understand what one of the questions is asking me?

Please contact your child’s school and one of the friendly office staff will answer your question.

Some of the information is already entered, how? Why?

Since your student is a returning student to Minooka CCSD 201, some of the information such as their name, school, grade, and some custodial parent/guardian and/or emergency contacts were able to be pre-populated for your convenience and still require some verification or updating should it be required.

Do I have to answer all the questions?

All the questions marked as required are required to be filled in before submission.

I’ve completed the form, now what?

When you have finished entering your information, click “Submit”. This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all the required questions.

What do I do if I have more than the one phone number listed for my contact?

Feel free to add additional phone numbers to your student’s contacts.  The online form will not allow for a duplicate phone number, so if in the event that there is one, you’ll want to update the number or remove the number entirely and also remove the phone type.

Uploading Documents:

The registration software provides the ability for parents to upload files (PDFs or pictures) for proofs of residency and medical documentation. 

If you are submitting the form electronically on a computer, then you will need to have all the digital documentation ready to upload when you start the registration process.  

If you are submitting the form electronically on a phone, then the upload buttons will allow you to access your camera and take a picture to upload to the form.

Where do I see my child’s teacher?

This is just for online registration. As we get closer to the start of the school year, Minooka 201 will send out instructions on how to sign into PowerSchool to look up your child’s schedule.
