MIS and MJHS families,

As many of you know our Transportation Department remains understaffed with
drivers and aides which requires us to rely heavily on drivers from Minooka High
School 111. This partnership is getting all of our kids home, but the afternoon bus
routes are seeing very heavy delays as the high school routes are delayed from our
MIS/MJHS routes, which then causes 45-60 minute delays in some of our elementary
routes that transport our youngest learners.

We need to create more time between some of the afternoon routes so that buses can
get to their next pick-up on time. Effective Tuesday, September 6th, we will be
moving the start/end times for MIS and MJHS ten (10) minutes earlier.

Minooka Intermediate School will run from 7:30 - 2:20

Minooka Junior High School will run from 7:35 - 2:25

We are communicating this now so that our staff and families can have plenty of time
to make any adjustments for child care, etc. We hope that this step will provide the
necessary time and allow our transportation team to get our kids home on time. Most
importantly, thank you for your patience and partnership as we try to improve our
service to our communities.
