Lori Shanholtzer

Minooka 201 Students and Families,

Our focus this school year has been to maximize the in-person instructional time we have with our students. The schools look fantastic with the bulletin boards and posters all around once more, and nothing makes the schools feel better than when students are in the classrooms. We are really proud of the start of the 2021-2022 school year, but the number of cases and quarantines and new guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education have led us to review our plans and make adjustments.

To help meet the learning needs of our quarantined students, on Wednesday, September 15th we will be implementing an updated Quarantine Learning Plan (attached) that will reincorporate synchronous learning during the school day. This plan was developed in collaboration with our administration and staff. Specific schedules will be communicated by the schools and teachers on when synchronous learning will occur during the school day. Please note that this remote learning option is only available for students on quarantine. If none of the students in a classroom are on quarantine the teacher will focus only on in-person instruction.

Sincerely,

Kristopher P. Monn, Ed.D.
