Dear Parent/ Guardian of:

Online registration for returning students and new students (including all incoming kindergarten students) is open.

To streamline the registration process for returning students entering grades 1st-8th, the district is using a bulk residency verification service that utilizes online databases to eliminate the need to provide proof of residency in most situations. Please note that there will still be some instances where residency proofs are required and families impacted will be notified separately.

All students entering Preschool and Kindergarten will have to prove residency regardless of the residency verification status. Any family moving into the district or within the district mid year will also have to prove residency.

Minooka 201 reserves the right to ask for residency documentation at any time.

What proofs are valid for residency?

You need to have one proof of residency from each category listed below.

Category 1:

  • Valid Home Ownership title, mortgage statement or deed
  • Current Property Tax Bill (Fall 2021 bill accepted)
  • Lease or Rental Agreement (apartment or home )

Category 2:

  • Current Utility Bills (water, gas, electric, cable, dish, or phone)
  • Current Insurance Bills (homeowners, rental, auto)

What about registration/school fees and payment?

Minooka 201 has applied 2022-2023 school fees to your student(s). Payment is not required to register, but may be made by cash, credit card (through RevTrak), money order, or check. Payment should be made by the start of the school year when possible and is ultimately due on December 31st, 2022.

Is there a money incentive for parents to complete registration early?

Yes, for parents who complete the registration (questions and provide proof of residency as required), a $30 discount is applied to their student’s registration fee. Each child’s account is eligible for a $30 discount if registered prior to May 15th. This webpage shows the fee structure.
