Zonar MyView App
Your student’s bus now has the capability for parents/guardians to use a smartphone application to notify you when the bus is near your home (enters an alert zone). The smartphone app is free, and participation is optional.
App Setup Instuctions
Here are the steps:
- Install “Zonar MyView” app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Create an account.
- You may select sign in with Google/Apple or simply create an account via email
- Enter in your (parent/guardian) information for name/email/password to use the app.
- Access Code: MIN7262
- Type in the bus # you want to follow. (Bus numbers can be found in PowerSchool)
- The Zonar MyView app requires 3 digit bus numbers, so you may need a leading zero. (Example: Bus 16 is really “bus 016”.)
- Enter in your student’s ID, First Name and Last Initial (You can find your student's ID in PowerSchool)
- For the first name, make sure it’s the full first name e.g., David, and not “Dave”
- Add an additional student as necessary.
- Create an Alert Zone
- Type in your home address and press the magnifying glass icon at the top right
- Select which bus(es) will enter the zone.
- Adjust the zone size to your preference.

Common issues:
Not receiving notifications. Check to see if push notifications are enabled in the device settings as the app itself.
Created notification zone, but not getting notifications. Make sure that a notification zone is tied to a bus.
Bus is not going through the notification zone. You can adjust or move the zone to be larger or move to another area. Sometimes, a bus will follow a little different route and not go through a certain intersection.
A bus was subbed and the new bus is not getting GPS. When a bus is subbed, it is programmed as soon as possible. Depending on the timing of the upload, it can take anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes to process in the app.
Example: A bus is subbed at 6:10am and the student is picked up at 6:30am, the cycle may not go through for that bus until after the student is picked up.
Student is assigned to wrong bus route. Since we have two route cycles (for MIS/JH and Elementary schools), make sure that the student is tied to the properly labeled route (AM-MIS/JH or AM-Elementary).
No notification zones created. While you will be able to follow a bus without notification zones, it is best practice to create notification zones to monitor the bus.
Notifications coming too late. If the bus has already arrived by the time you get a notification, you can set the notification zone to be larger or further away from your house to get the notification earlier. The triggering of notifications can be a bit delayed, so this will ensure you receive the notification in time.
