OUR MISSION: 

Inspire every learner to grow academically, build strong relationships, and contribute responsibly in school and beyond.

 

OUR VISION: 

Minooka 201 is a community where students, staff, families, and the district share responsibility for making learning meaningful, creating belonging, and holding high expectations for every student.

 

At the May 2026 Board Meeting, our Superintendent, Rachel Kinder, Ed. S. presented the recommended Strategic Plan following a collaborative, monthslong process (detailed below).

The recommendation outlined five strategic goals focused on learner growth and achievement, safe, engaging learning environments, staff community, family and community partnership, and fiscal responsibility and transparency. It also refreshed our a Portrait of a Learner framework to define traits that Minooka 201 aims to cultivate in every student. The Portrait of a Learner Framework also dictates what adults will do, how families and the community can support the work, and what the school system must put in place so the portrait is experienced consistently across the district.

Beyond that, a comprehensive list of Adult Commitments was finalized to describe observable behaviors that adults must practice that make the learner portrait possible.

The district is now moving into implementation phases, including defining success metrics, aligning improvement efforts, and providing regular progress updates.

Strategic Plan, April – June 2018
